Raw Love Pets is dedicated to making naturally delicious raw food for dogs. Our meals are biologically appropriate – 100% grain-free and without any nasties. It is made with love from ethically farmed meat and fermented vegetables & fruit, bursting with nutrients to nourish your pet from within.

Ingredients: 70% venison meat, 30% fermented vegetables & fruit.

Plains game muscle meat & hearts, trimmings, lungs, liver, spinach, carrots, butternut, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, baby marrow, green beans, parsley, cucumber, Granny Smith apples, papaya, blueberries, kelp, alfalfa sprouts, broccoli sprouts, fenugreek sprouts, rooibos, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, kefir, moringa, diatomaceous earth.

VENISON PRODUCT INFORMATION AND SAFETY NOTICE

At Raw Love Pets, we believe in being transparent about every ingredient we use and any inherent characteristics associated with our products.

Our Venison meals are manufactured using venison sourced exclusively from reputable, registered suppliers operating in accordance with applicable South African regulatory requirements. The game meat supplied to us originates from approved harvesting operations and is processed at regulated abattoirs under the supervision of qualified meat inspectors and state veterinarians.

Depending on the species being harvested and the approved harvesting method used, either rifles or shotguns may be utilised. Where helicopters are employed for certain game species, buckshot may be used as part of the approved harvesting process.

Following harvesting, each carcass undergoes multiple quality control procedures before being supplied to Raw Love Pets. These include careful visual inspection, professional deboning by experienced personnel and passage through calibrated metal detection systems that are inspected, tested and verified on a regular basis.

Despite these extensive controls, it is not possible for any supplier of harvested game meat to guarantee with absolute certainty that every microscopic projectile fragment or occasional buckshot pellet has been removed. Accordingly, there remains a very small residual possibility that an occasional buckshot pellet, bullet fragment or similar projectile fragment may remain within the meat.

This residual possibility is an inherent characteristic associated with harvested game meat and should not be regarded as evidence of a manufacturing failure or unidentified foreign-object contamination. It is a recognised residual risk despite comprehensive harvesting, inspection and processing controls.

Although such occurrences are exceptionally uncommon, we recommend that customers inspect Venison meals during portioning or serving, particularly where meals are fed to dogs that tend to swallow food without chewing. Should any foreign object be identified, please remove it before feeding the remaining meal.

If you believe you have found a projectile fragment in one of our Venison products, we kindly request that you contact Raw Love Pets as soon as reasonably possible. To assist us in investigating the matter, please provide:

• a clear photograph of the object alongside a coin, ruler or other size reference;
• photographs of the product tub;
• the batch number and Best Before date shown on the label; and
• details of where and when the product was purchased.

This information enables us to investigate thoroughly, maintain our quality assurance programme and work closely with our suppliers where necessary.
